Devil Wears Prada. Maybe not so gansta, but I like it
God Father
Scarface
A Bronx Tale
New Jack City is the top of my list
Casino, Untouchables, Godfather 1, Goodfellas, Scarface, A Bronx Tale, and PLEASE make a Sopranos movie! Anyone makes another movie at this level of writing and directing will have another hit that’s talked about for years…just like these are and will continue to be. Legendary flicks indeed. Honorable mentions, not necessarily “mobster” category, but in the same family or has the same flavor: Mystic River and Sleepers.
Belly and Deep cover
The Untouchables is definitely my favorite gangster movie. It boasts an all star cast, has edge of your seat action scenes, a couple of tear jerker moments and great lines! If you haven’t seen it, you must. I’m still waiting for the sequel.
My favorite gangster movie was Hoodlum.
Pulp Fiction
My favorite was Pulp Fiction
My favorite gangster movie is “A Bronx Tale” starring Robert De Niro and Chazz Palminteri. The movie was De Niro’s directorial debut. This is not your typical shoot ’em up gangster flick- the casualties of organized crime, family relationships, love relationships, race relations -this movie has it all and does a great job of telling the story we’ve seen $1M times from a fresh point of view. The movie is about a local gangster, Sunny (Palminteri) that becomes a father figure to a boy in the neighborhood. The boys relationship with his biological father (De Niro) is strained when Sunny’s local influence and power seem to overshadow the father’s modest lifestyle and straight and narrow teachings. Both men want the best for the boy and lovingly try to prepare their “son” for adulthood. The movie ends by depicting the difference between being loved and being feared. Rent this-you will not be disappointed
I liked God Father
