The HangOver Part II

THE HANGOVER PART II – SOBERED UP

SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SEE IT AT A MATINEE

Once again a sequel fails to live up to the hype!

The wolf pack is back together again and if you didn’t already know “it happened again”. Stu is attempting to get married to his new fiance in Thailand and Phil, Stu, Allen and Doug decide to go celebrate.

All of Stu’s attempts not to make the same mistake as the last time are negated because once again the crew finds themselves in the same position that they woke up in at Doug’s bachelor celebration.

We all remember how funny the original version was. The best part about the first edition was that you never knew what to expect and there was always a new twist at every turn. Unfortunately with Part II you already know what to expect, so opposed to being surprised you find yourself looking for something that just isn’t there.

Director Todd Phillips must have seen the writing on the wall, so in addition the classic one liners from Allen, he also gave Mr. Chow a more prominent role for  additional laughs. He also brought back Mike Tyson and gave him a few more lines than in the first movie, but unfortunately it seems as if they just threw him in the film. I am sure they could have figured out a better way to introduce him in Part II.

Don’t be mistaken, this movie definitely had funny moments throughout and you will be caught off guard in a few scenes.

All in all, just don’t expect a duplication of Part I. You will only be setting yourself up for a let down.

THOR

THOR – DELIVERS THE THUNDER

YOUR POCKETS WON’T MISS THE MONEY. PAY FULL PRICE

What is the one trait that all Marvel Comic themed movies have in common?  Yes, you guessed it; all of the characters have super human powers but live amongst humans.

This film is no different, but director Kenneth Branagh took movie goers on an unconventional journey to show Thor’s rise as a God in his realm to his quick fall literally to earth as he is outcast for disobeying his father’s wishes.

You will be pleased with all facets of the film between the fight scenes, story line, cinematography and even the costumes that the characters wear. Though Thor is rated PG-13 even adults will enjoy this action-packed drama.

Take your family to the movies and see this Marvel Comic delight.

P.S. Stay until the credits completely run at the end. Theres a little surprise waiting for you.
