Telling us about a situation where you made an unpopular choice but thought it was the best decision. My decision was to move away from home for a job.
to cut off financial aid for college for our son.
While teaching special needs students, I was made aware that other coworkers in my department were being unethical. I refused b/c it went against my beliefs and I knew that the student would ultimately pay the price.
I made a choice to ride my bike out of our neighborhood as a child, and soon found out it wasn’t upon my return home.
I had taken my class of 4th graders swimming at a nearby wave pool for an end of the year field trip. We all were having a great time until a bunch of older students show up and began to splash and play rough in the water near my students. I decide to end the trip early so that no one would get hurt. It was a very unpopular decision. In fact I get so bad, that I took them to DQ for an ice cream on the way back to school
I used to be the Commissioner making football decisions for a nonprofit. I had to make the decision to eliminate a whole team. It was a wildly unpopular decision but factoring the economics, the manpower (or lack thereof) and the fact that the participators would not benefit as much as they should, I thought it was in their best interest.
I once had to decide not to let my daughter come to see me. I was working on my newly acquired home and it was really uncomfortable for me to live in. I didn’t want to put her in the same uncomfortable situation. She was not happy but after having seen the place she then understood.
Called a player on our team out on a close play that everyone else thought was safe.
