Synopsis: In a contemporary adaptation of Langston Hughes’ celebrated play, the holiday musical drama BLACK NATIVITY follows Langston (JACOB LATIMORE), a street-wise teen from Baltimore raised by a single mother, as he journeys to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives Reverend Cornell and Aretha Cobbs (FOREST WHITAKER and ANGELA BASSETT). Unwilling to live by the imposing Reverend Cobbs’ rules, a frustrated Langston is determined to return home to his mother, Naima (JENNIFER HUDSON). Langston embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey and along with new friends, and a little divine intervention, he discovers the true meaning of faith, healing, and family.     I had a friend who was going through a long time of illnes. This person wasn’t a church goer but did believe in God. After praying with this person and asking God for healing this person started getting better and coming out of a depressed state. To God be the glory!

    It was late and bible study was starting….we got a call from the church mother. She had fallen. A group of us rushed to her home to help….her hand was broken yet she insisted to be taken to the church. She asked for prayer and as we prayed I watched her mangled hand retake it useable form…I’ve been changed ever since. Was the Divine intervention hers or mine? I say both. True story.

    My husband is in need of a divine intervention for healing fromis foot ulcers! They have been open since May requiring debridement every week. He longs to wear regular shoes again and be able to walk. Waiting on a miracle!!!!
