Synopsis: On the day of the NFL Draft, general manager Sonny Weaver (Costner) has the opportunity to rebuild his team when he trades for the number one pick. He must quickly decide what he’s willing to sacrifice in pursuit of perfection as the lines between his personal and professional life become blurred on a life-changing day for a few hundred young men with dreams of playing in the NFL. I sacrificed my schooling for my mom when she got ill…it more like deferring school when she passed I was able to pick up where i left off and graduate. .. It seemed like I was going to be on a 10 year plan to finish
I did not join a fraternity in college so I could concentrate on getting good/perfect grades.
I had to sacrifice eating what I wanted to eat when I had to fit into a dress for my daughter’s wedding.
I had to sacrifice my family for a career and live to regret it
I had to sacrifice being with my children as I pursued my career as an administrator at a school by moving to another state. I missed birthdays, sleepovers, athletic competitions, report cards, etc. Skype will never replace being there.
I had a friend who kept telling me that I couldn’t do a certain task so I had to separate myself from them and continue in pursuit of my goal.
In suit of perfection for my grades I sacrificed fun, time, energy and a social life in college. It has paid off with a fun rewarding high paying career.
I had to sacrafice time & friendships outside of school in order to practice the violin. However, because of my sacrifice I became the top violinist in my high school.
When my daughter was a baby, I had the opportunity to take a trip to Hawaii fully paid. My daughter was not a year old and I didn’t feel that she would be kept in the best of care by her father therefore I gave the trip away.
I recently applied for a volunteer position that I really really wanted to be a part of. I had to make a lot of changes to my schedules to make it work. But it was definitely worth it.
Back in the day when I was first leaning comupters, I had to eat, live and sleep computers to get a good as I could striving perfection.
I like to golf and in order to get better, I started sacrificing my lunch hour to go to the range to get better. In stead of laying around doing nothing I would go to the range or read about how to improve on my golf game.
I oftentimes sacrifice sleep and food to get things done the exact way I want them . I will work into the wee hours of the night in pursuit of perfection.
