when organizing a church dinner, they needed some direction for other people with food problems and what we can do as an alternative
A long time ago…..
I lead a group of co-workers to talk to our manger about working conditions
As a Tweener I led a protest with students at my middle school. The Asst Principal (Ms Baker) was trying to eliminate our “Flex” time. This was a reward of free time for a half day on Fridays. We could choose to learn to bowl, play chess, go to a movie,or learn a new craft like knitting. It was a reward for working hard on academics all week. I was not going to allow our wind down time to be taken away!
Working from home and the Managers was allowed, so In discussing with co workers and senior manager we were allowed to work from home after discussion for 2 months
Had to lead the team at work.
I was a senior Underwriter at a company and we had not received a raise in a long time. We ask for a raise and was told we were already making the industry norm. I proved that we were not and we stopped working until we got our raise.
When I was min eight grade we had a student transfer in the middle of the year. He was kind of on the heavy side but he was smart. He was not outgoing but if you spoke to him, he would speak to you. A group of classmates took it upon themselves to start to bully him. At first it was laughable because he was laughing but after a week it got to be mean. No one would say anything. One day we were in gym playing dodgeball and they kept hitting him with the ball. I had seen enough and I confronted the two ring leaders. During the time I was confronting them other classmates joined in with me. We made them all apologize and shake his hand. We became friends as are still friends after 35 years.
